On Saturday, Madelyn was talking about riding on airplanes and recounted her experience from last spring. She mentioned the flight attendant handing out snacks and then asked why they didn't have fruit snacks. JD suggested she write them a letter to ask why they didn't have them. Here's the result:
It says:
Dear S.W. (Southwest),
I like your airplanes. Why you don't have fruit snacks?
JD helped her quite a bit, but she did a lot of it herself. She also insisted on an envelope and stamp and personally made sure it got in the mailbox. We'll see if they respond.
